Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Operations Associate to lead and strengthen the operational backbone of Ackerman Plumbing’s Service division. This individual will play a critical role in managing our bid pipeline, building systems to support growth, and institutionalizing processes as we grow the team. You’ll work directly with leadership to bring structure and rigor to how we prioritize, pursue, and close work – while supporting expansion into new markets like Fort Myers and Orlando. This role is based in Sarasota, Florida, with travel as needed, and reports initially to our Chief of Staff. It’s a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, cross-functional work, and turning strategy into execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Run weekly sales pipeline sprints via HubSpot – ensuring visibility into at-risk bids and high-priority opportunities
- Support VP of Service on weekly Service Department all-hands meetings, assist on all follow-ups
- Prioritize inbound bids across the Service team using data and deal quality metrics
- Build and maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor bids, close rates, revenue targets, and backlog
- Support sales enablement: create lead lists (using vendors and AI tools), track against team goals, manage the Technician upsell program, and monitor performance
- Be the key administrator of sales systems (e.g., HubSpot, AI estimation tools, sales CRMs): track and upload bid information, optimize configuration, ensure adoption, keep status current
- Familiarize yourself with our Service Management Platform; help team in submitting quotes
- Work cross-functionally to improve margin visibility and pricing consistency for Service bids
- Explore and pilot new sales models (e.g., recurring/preventative maintenance contracts)
- Improve our digital presence via SEO, Google Review incentive programs, and more
- Co-develop sales-related AI workflows (e.g., bid follow-ups, quote automation)
- Help institutionalize repeatable sales processes that can scale across new offices and teams
- Maintain visibility into sales rep activity and pipeline velocity; build accountability frameworks across the team
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years in sales operations, revenue operations, or generalist roles with sales process exposure
- Experience working in CRMs, and building or running sales reporting systems is a plus
- Prior exposure to trade services, construction, or field-based service organizations is a plus
- Familiarity with AI/automation tools, SQL, or lightweight data infrastructure is a plus
- Bachelor's degree required; quantitative or business-focused majors preferred
- Highly organized and analytically minded, with a strong ability to set priorities and track execution
- Proficient in spreadsheets, HubSpot (or similar CRM), and GSuite/Office
- Strong written/verbal communicator who can influence across levels and functions
- Comfortable being hands-on while also zooming out to help shape broader strategy
