Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will be the right-hand person supporting the Controller. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, a willingness to learn and roll up their sleeves, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assists with the month-end closing and reporting process.
  • Assists in preparing the monthly financial reporting and analysis package.
  • Prepares and records journal entries, including the month-end closing process entries.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations in support of the financial statements.
  • Prepares and maintains weekly cash flow forecast.
  • Performs variance analyses.
  • Assists the VP of Finance/Controller in the annual financial audit with external auditors.
  • Performs ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
Travel Requirements
This position does not require travel.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, plus
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, OR
  • The equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Public accounting experience preferred

Proficiencies
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Sage Intacct preferred (Construction and Real Estate Software)
