Position Overview
The Fabrication Shop Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of fabrication shop activities, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily shop operations including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination
  • Supervise shop staff and assign tasks according to project requirements
  • Ensure quality control of fabricated plumbing assemblies and structures
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain material availability
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Provide hands-on support for welding, cutting, assembly, and layout tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with field supervisors and project managers to meet deadlines and specifications
  • Train and mentor apprentices and junior team members
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production and labor tracking
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project and company success
Travel Requirements
This position may require occasional regional travel to project sites within Florida. Travel will comprise less than 5% of the total job. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. Overnight travel is rare but may be necessary for certain projects.

Proficiencies
  • Strong understanding of plumbing fabrication and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical schematics
  • Skilled in welding, cutting, threading, grooving, and pipe assembly is a plus
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with fabrication and inventory management software is a plus
